Customs Duties, VAT, and Import Taxes
International orders may be subject to customs duties, VAT (Value Added Tax), import taxes, and other fees depending on the destination country. These charges are not included in our product prices or shipping fees.
Any such charges will be collected directly from the customer by the courier or customs authority at the time of import or delivery. The customer is responsible for paying all applicable customs duties, VAT, import taxes, and related fees in order to receive the package.
In some cases, postal services or courier companies may also charge additional handling, clearance, or administrative fees related to customs procedures. These charges are also the responsibility of the customer.
Customs duties and taxes are determined by the customs authorities of the destination country. Because these charges vary by country and are assessed by local authorities, ALPSCAMERA is unable to estimate, predict, or control the amount. For more information, we recommend contacting your local customs office or courier service directly before placing your order.
Please note that if a customer refuses to pay customs duties, VAT, import taxes, or related fees and the shipment is refused or returned, shipping fees, return shipping costs, customs-related charges, and any other expenses incurred may be deducted from the refund, or the order may become non-refundable depending on the circumstances.
Please also note that item values must be declared accurately on shipping documents. We are unable to declare a lower value than the actual purchase price or mark shipments as gifts at the customer’s request.
Some shipments may be exempt from customs duties or taxes if the declared value is below the import threshold of the destination country. However, such rules vary by country, and ALPSCAMERA cannot guarantee whether an order will be exempt.
As customs policies differ from country to country, we kindly ask customers to check their country’s import rules before purchasing.
